Heart in Havana
When my husband and I decided to build a house, it was the most terrifying but exciting feeling. We both had no idea what we were doing but we had a vision of what our dream home would look like, a vision that was brought to life by McDonald Jones Homes.
We knew we wanted a single storey and we knew it must have open plan living. With that in mind we started researching builders and walking through display home after display home.
The Havana Executive was the second last that we looked at and we instantly fell in love and knew it was the one. It ticked all the boxes and was the perfect floor plan for us knowing that we would soon be starting a family.
Quality was also extremely important to us and the McDonald Jones Homes stood out above the rest.
Our Building and Design Consultant from the Sales Office was amazing. He answered all our questions and within 24 hours we had signed our contract and paid our deposit knowing that we had made the right decision.
Based on my experience of building, finding the perfect floor plan was definitely the hardest part. If I can offer any advice to those who are looking to build it would be to write down your absolute must haves in a home/floor plan, research the builders, look through as many display homes as you can and don’t settle until you find the right one – you don’t want to move in to your brand new home with any regrets.
