Coastal
Coastal is a design style used in both Classic and Contempo homes and is identifiable by its perfectly relaxed, unassuming style, paying homage to its natural environment.
Coastal style draws upon a natural palette inspired by the water, sand, shells and local vegetation. Creating a light and breezy home accented with natural, sometimes weathered materials creates an effortless, calm atmosphere in any home.
Coastal substyles
The four substyles of Coastal are: Beach House, Bahamas, Modern Coastal & American Beach House
Beach House
The Beach House style evokes a light, airy feel, just like the vibe you would get whilst enjoying a beachside holiday. Expansive window and glass use throughout every room is important as is the connection to weathered timber, cladding and natural flooring.

Bahamas
Infuse a bit of beachy flair into your home with tropical style, which combines influences from various locations like Hawaii, Bali, Fiji, Thailand and French Polynesia.

Modern Coastal
Living a Modern Coastal style means connecting with or being surrounded by some of the most beautiful natural environments which evoke calmness and coolness.
Glass is a major part of a modern coastal look, even if you don’t have the luxury of looking at the ocean there is still a connection to the outside required.

American Beach House
American Beach Houses are famous for their look and thanks to stunning locations like Maine, Cape Cod, The Hamptons and Long Island this style will continue as a go-to style.
The difference between a typical beach house and the American is the palette. Even though a beach house introduces blue, the American has the traditional rich navy mixed with white or the addition of red to complete the look, which plays on the American flag colours.
CONTEMPO
Exciting and appealing, the Contempo style borrows from many periods to pull together a home that reflects your unique style while remaining striking and practical. A modern look that is constantly evolving which embraces balance and functionality across your favourite elements.
Contempo substyles
The four substyles of Contempo are: Modern, Minimalist, Mid-Century Modern & Scandi
Modern
The focus of modern homes is simplicity. This style has the base principles of the overarching Contempo syle. This style suits many people as it has an on-trend element but also can mix furniture items from different modern eras as this is most people’s comfort zone.

Minimalist
Minimalist homes are free of any clutter, they only contain key pieces of furniture that are essential for functional living. Minimalist interiors have a focus on simplicity, essentially the dream of any Marie Kondo fan. Rooms are generally monochromatic, usually featuring muted neutrals, soft greys and whites.

Mid-Century Modern
Mid-century-modern design is still popular today for many reasons. Its characteristics make it a perfect fit for today's contemporary, modern and eclectic home décor styles. With its clean lines and cool vibe, mid-century has continued to rise and its connection to minimalism and the incorporation of natural materials is a core feature that fuels its following. It’s the perfect style for a casual lifestyle in open floor plans.

Scandi
Scandinavian design is about combining beauty, simplicity and functionality. The harsh climates of northern Europe, particularly in the winters, had long influenced the Scandinavian people to take pride in practicality, far above decoration, and simplicity would follow naturally as part of that equation.

Country
Country style is dedicated to relaxation and complete comfort with a calmness that feels at home away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Country home design involves either a muted palette or a nod to traditional colour schemes like black or navy and white. Classic cabinetry and use of timber throughout flooring and panelling are essential, beautifully accented by vintage accessories throughout the home.

Parisian
French or Parisian interiors are just as much about design as they are lifestyle. They appear so effortless, but only because they are built to accommodate the way you move through the room. There should be creative storage throughout to make daily life a breeze and the design itself is far from relaxed but gives such a sense of effortless, luxury living.

Art Deco
Inspired by French art and design from the 1920s this dramatic design aesthetic was introduced in the 1920s shortly after WWI, as the country was emerging from the flowery Art Nouveau style and transitioning into a sleeker cosmopolitan look featuring hard-edged, richly embellished designs and metal accents.
GLOBAL
The Global style is all about reflecting a deep love for global adventure. Rooted in admiration for the world’s many diverse cultures, it is a beautiful and artful blend of worldly finds, earthy materials and colours with exotic patterns.
Global style is the perfect mix of all different elements from around the world. This style suits people who love to travel and collect items from different adventures or have items that have been passed down through the generations.
Global substyles
The four substyles of Global are: Bohemian, Eclectic, Fusion & Zen
Bohemian
Bohemian-style homes are equipped with a laid-back atmosphere and place an emphasis on nature and intricate patterns. There are two versions –the neutral base one which is the mix of white, light neutrals and texture in the way of furniture and light fittings and then the version that introduces bright colors like purples, reds and pinks as the accents.

Eclectic
An Eclectic home design embraces numerous styles such as modern, vintage and bohemian.
A variety of materials and textures are also mixed and matched and eclectic interiors are often filled with various décor items, like vintage dinnerware, flower vases, etc. The key to an eclectic home is all about drawing on different textures, colours and styles for a unique environment that perfectly reflects your personality.
Fusion
Fusion is all about taking the wonders of design from some of the most exotic places like the Middle East and India and then applying a slightly modern take to suit the Australian way of life.
These countries' interiors boast exotic rich colours and textures. The use of rich wall colours combined with metallic feature accents and leather or pattern detailed fabrics are the perfect choices. Furniture is typically handcrafted and ornately carved and slightly rustic in appearance.
Zen
In Japanese, Zen refers to Buddhist meditation, so it’s key that Zen-style interiors have an emphasis on tranquillity, harmony and relaxation.
Balance, function and simplicity are essential in zen styling as is the limited colour palette often featuring black, white and a hint of orange or red across the lucky colour palette.
