Family Activities for the Long Weekend

For many, this Easter is going to be a little different to what we had planned, however, staying home with your family is a chance to have some old fashioned fun whilst enjoying some quality time getting a little creative.

So rather than holidays away or big events with family and friends we wanted to share with you some Easter activities to enjoy and share with your loved ones this Easter.

For those wondering - our Display Homes are closed on Good Friday and available for private tours Easter Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Free Easter Activities to try

No matter what you are doing this Easter here is a quick and easy list of some of our favourite Free Easter Activities to keep the family occupied and get the creative juices flowing this Easter long weekend.

Easter Colouring-in

We have created 3 downloadable A4 Colouring-In sheets for you to enjoy. There is a style for any age group or enjoy all three! So sit down, grab the pencils and enjoy!

Easter Baking 

With Easter being an at-home event for most of us this year, we think it’s the perfect time to try a new recipe or bake a childhood favourite. With plenty of opportunities to go for a walk or do a home work out - don't feel guilty, indulge and enjoy like you never have before!

Some of our favourites are:
-    Mouth wateringly delicious Crème egg doughnuts 
-    Get the kids involved by decorating their very own No-Bake Bunny Biscuits 
-    The ornate Hot Cross Bun Flower Pudding is super easy and a great way to enjoy hot cross buns differently! 
-    Impress the family and keep the kids guessing with this incredible Easter Egg Surprise Cake – this amazing cake is one to try if you like to extend your baking skills!

Easter Craft ideas

If you want to take your creativity to a whole new level here are some of our favourite Easter art or creative projects no matter what your age. These Easter craft ideas use many of the items that you already have around your home, such as:

-    Use your old egg cartons (from all the baking you’ve done!) for these super easy and cute Spring Chicks that will be a hit with the kids
-    Or why not use some of your nail polish to decorate some eggs with a beautiful marble finish! We recommend boiling the eggs first – and don’t eat them as eggshells are porous.
-    Keep the marble theme going with Shaving Cream Marbled Paper Easter Eggs - experiment and enjoy making beautiful patterns.
-    Make and create your own Egg basket for your egg hunt with just paper, glue and scissors - super easy!
