Footy is back at McDonald Jones Stadium!
As the sound of leather on willow fades and the days start to feel a little cooler if you’re a sporting fan you know that means footy is just around the corner. From March fans of AFL, Super Rugby and NRL teams stream into stadiums and start to wonder how their team will perform this season, all with a hope that their team will hold that allusive premiership trophy later in the year. No matter which code or team you support it’s an exciting time of year, from chatting to your mates in the lead up to each match, working on that perfect one-liner that will be delivered at ground, to dressing your kids in your teams colours on match day, there is something really special about heading out to a game and being immersed in the action and being part of the community that you love. We are delighted to be the naming rights partner of one the country’s leading regional sporting stadiums. McDonald Jones Stadium is more than just a home to the Newcastle Knights and the Newcastle Jets, it’s a place where people come together as a sporting community.
From welcoming the Australian Women’s Soccer team the Matilda’s, the NSW Waratahs and local sporting teams to guests at corporate events, this is a home away from home for so many. Like all great sporting locations, this ground holds so many fond memories for avid fans and corporate guests alike, from match winning conversions after the siren to seeing a future legend showcase their skills, it’s simply not the same if you’re not at the game. There is nothing like being caught up in the big moment, savouring the atmosphere, being part of the community and playing your role in a little piece of history. We are extremely proud and honoured to have helped build the dreams of so many families over the past 30 years, and by having the largest house in town ‘McDonald Jones Stadium,’ we hope that you have the opportunity to support your team and celebrate their on-field success as their sporting dreams comes true. If you’re a Newcastle Knights fan, a season of opportunity now awaits.
