The illusion of space is immediately created when opening the front door to the Saxonvale 40. The wide entry is complemented by a black framed mirror, reminiscent of peering through a warehouse window and seemingly extending the area.

Following the oak flooring inwards, a front sitting room greets you on your left, an ideal location for coffee with unexpected guests. The plush lounge softens the wooden chest converted into a coffee table and the dark accessories.

Easily accessible next door the study is located, with soft leather chairs tucked under the Built-In Desk for working in comfort and there is even enough space leftover for two reading chairs.

A Piatra Grey Caesarstone benchtop paired with natural walnut floating shelving is also introduced in these front spaces which is used as a motif throughout the home.

Returning to the main hallway, past the Powder Room (with a benchtop large enough for touching up make-up before running out the door), is the open plan living area which truly fulfils its name. This spacious area combines multiple spaces and seamlessly interweaves them into an impressive entertaining area.

The Alfresco Grande is so large and well equipped you’ll be the happy host of every function. Only a heartbeat away from the Dining, Living and Gourmet Kitchen, it is incredible the warmth that is retained in this area even on a cold day. An expansive built-in barbecue and bench lined with stools is to one end of the Alfresco, while for more formal dinner parties a dining table is positioned at the other end. In between lies room for relaxing and drinks on the lounge.

The inside Dining area features a raw wood dining table and side board with a grand mirror above to bring the outdoors in.

As for the Living room, elements such as the textured, but not rough, coffee table have been cleverly contrasted against softer accessories, like the fluffy couch and thick rug, as a nod to the industrial theme and comfortable living.

When sitting on the lounge, your eyes are drawn to the gorgeous Gourmet Kitchen, reminiscent of a quiet coffee shop with the best blend. The coloured subway tile splashback is the feature of this space, complemented by black cage pendant lighting and wood laminate overhead cabinets. Be sure to open the drawers when viewing the kitchen, offering surprising extra detail with textured door knobs for added luxury.

A Butler’s Pantry lies at the end of this galley-style kitchen with more storage hidden away around the corner in a Walk-In Pantry.

This focus on practical storage is sustained in the Laundry containing a Walk-In Linen and the continuation of the industrial theme with the cute addition of hanging plants to lift the spirits of a room usually associated with chores.

Journeying up the carpeted stairway of the Saxonvale 40, lights at each step guide your way. At the landing, you can peak outside on the Balcony or turn into the Children’s Activity. The giant TV in this room feels only like a distraction from the view at this higher level. Another space for study resides in this area, with accessories to inspire studying or planning your next trip abroad.

Walking into the Master Suite nearby feels like stepping into an episode of Mad Men, with timber bedside tables and enough space for a supple grey chair next to a glass table hosting a crystal decanter. Walking through the twin Robes the Ensuite hides away (with twin sinks to ensure getting ready for date night is never a problem).

The secondary Bedrooms on this level provide inspiration for every member of the family, and despite the consistent use of metal, they resonate a warmth from the brown, vintage interiors.

The homes on display at Waterford Living offer treats and treasures that can only be truly experienced in person.
